While their winter (ski and snowboard) business continued to grow both in terms of volume and reputation, its summer (all-season) business was still in the early stages of development.

Based on the information gathered throughout this process and Select Contracts’ extensive experience in the leisure, recreation and adventure sectors, our strategic development plan provided a prioritized matrix of activities, attractions and programs intended to deliver the highest value investments for the resort.
As part of a process to update its long-term master plan, the client engaged Select Contracts in developing a specific strategic plan designed to grow its all-season business opportunities.
Select Contracts began this process by assessing current and future market conditions, analyzing the competitive environment and providing comparable examples of successful all-season operations. This information, along with site-specific considerations, was used to recommend the optimal approach for growing the resort’s all-season business over the short, medium and long term.
Our comprehensive research and analysis demonstrated that the resort encompassed incredible natural assets combined with access to large destination travel markets via the Trans Canada Highway and nearby National Parks. A series of “must-do” experiential investments were proposed to capture a share of the broad-based leisure travel market as well as lifestyle segments such as mountain biking.
